The Vermont Community Loan Fund (VCLF) finances projects that add value to Vermont communities while providing opportunities for low income Vermonters. Our mission is to strengthen Vermont by providing equitable access to capital for affordable housing, community facilities and small businesses.

Fueling our lending are investments from hundreds of socially responsible individuals, faith-based groups, foundations and corporations. Our investors provide critical lending capital, while at the same time meet their investment
goals.

Since its founding in 1987, VCLF has provided over $45 million through 539 loans, creating or retaining 1,059 jobs, 2,294 affordable housing units, and 1,379 child care slots.

With a loan from VCLF, Tracy and her husband, Ernie, purchased and renovated a single-family home, which now provides care to children aged six weeks to twelve years.
