Borrowing from the Loan Fund
The Vermont Community Loan Fund finances projects that add value to Vermont communities while providing opportunities for low-to-moderate-income Vermonters. In addition, the Loan Fund administers grant programs for both child care programs and small businesses.
Loans:
The Vermont Community Loan Fund provides loans for small businesses, affordable housing, community facilities, and child care facilities. Our loan programs are tailored to fit the unique needs of our borrowers, and loan rates and terms are determined on a case-by-case basis to best meet the needs of the project.
Grants:
The Vermont Community Loan Fund is pleased to administer both the Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) and the Building Bright Futures Fund. These grants are for eligible small businesses and home and center-based child care, respectively.
Getting started:
To determine if you are eligible for a VCLF loan or grant, please review the guidelines for each program. You may download and complete an application on-line. If you have any questions regarding eligibility, loan specifics, or the application process, please contact our office to speak with the program director.
